Damage Waiver Protection Plan

We are pleased to introduce a new equipment protection plan that many of you have asked us to provide.  This plan has already been implemented by several other rental companies here on the Gulf Coast and we're glad to offer this plan to our customers.

If you pay the damage wavier charge as specified, subject to the exclusions below, ABC Rental Inc. agrees to modify the terms of the signed contract and relieve you of having to pay for any accidental damages to our equipment rented.

We exclude from this waiver:

  • Theft, Burglary, Vandalism, or mysterious disappearance of equipment.
  • Damage to tires.
  • Damage caused by operating the equipment beyond its capacity.
  • Loss or damage caused by dishonesty of Your employees, or wrongful conversion by any person whom You allow to posses the Equipment.
  • Damage resulting from overturning or striking overhead objects.
  • Failure to care for the rental equipment as a prudent man would his own property, such as proper lubrication.

The cost of the equipment protection plan is ten (10) percent of the total rental fees for all rented equipment.  When you compare our plan costs with the cost of providing us with coverage on your insurance policy, we feel you will find our charge is minimum, particularly since you are paying only for protection for the period you rented the equipment.

If you wish to decline Damage Waiver Protection for your rental equipment, please do so in writing and we will be happy not to include it in your billings.  Simply mail or fax (228-868-9453) us written verification that you are declining Damage Waiver Protection and thereby are responsible for all damages to equipment rented while in your possession.

This plan went into effect November 15th, 1999.
